We had a slow start to our morning with a flat on Mary's bike (aka the Cobra). Mo worked diligently, but we got another puncture on the next tube. Eventually we found and patched the leak.
We made a beeline for SC Bikes in Soisy-sur-Seine. One website said the closed at 1:30. At about 1:20 as we circled around navigating very muddy riparian paths, I found a site that said they opened at 1:30. That took all the pressure off. We rolled in around 1:45 and they were very helpful and friendly. While they fixed up the bike with theoretically puncture proof inner tubes (chamber de aires) we went to the Turkish place they recommended down the street. We lounged around on the terrace enjoying the vegetarian platters. Suitably fortified, we headed for our campground in Melun. The route had some easy road riding, some limestone path, some stretches of mud, and some roads that thought they were mud paths. We were greatly encouraged by this sign post.
That path right there looks nice! Regi
ReplyDeleteThe surface of the path has been quite mixed. But when it is good, it is awesome!
DeleteOn the road again 🎵.
