I have a little time at the Thunder Bay airport to enjoy the anticipation of an adventure ahead. The first leg will be with my sisters, Kate and Mary, three weeks of riding, from Paris to Bordeaux, shown in pink above. We will ride into Paris along the Canal d'Ourqs and head upstream on the Seine. At Briare a small canal connects to the Loire river, which we will ride downstream, ogling chateaux and cathedrals en route . After Tours, we will turn upstream on a tributary of the Loire and plunge south toward Bordeaux. So Paris de Bordeaux is the first leg of this adventure, further rivers still to come.
